The Motorola Droid has finally been rooted by the hacker Zinx Verituse. Once rooted, users can enable multi-touch support and other features Motorola and Verizon didn't want you to have. Users will even be able to download widgets to overclock the ARM processor in the Droid. Though I don't know why you would want to, and cooling would seem to be an issue. Caution should be used when rooting the phone, as doing it wrong could have several bad implications. The phone could be bricked, or key features could become disabled. I don't currently intend to root my phone.
