Seagate Introduces Pulsar SSD

CheeseMan42 - December 8, 2009 05:32PM in Storage / Hard Drives

Seagate is finally throwing its hat into the solid state drive market. With competition like Intel, Corsair, and OCZ, nothing is guaranteed for the largest hard drive manufacturer. The Pulsar drive operates on the SATA standard and will be available in drives up to 200GB. Seagate is hoping to target the server market, where the high number of Input/Output operations per second can allow for greater efficiency and productivity. Pricing information is currently unavailable.
