Though still in the release candidate form, Mozilla is still at work on its email program. Version two of the program has been out for quite some time now, and version three has been in the talks for just as long. The new Thunderbird was supposed to be released last month, but the company is not yet sure at this point how much longer the program will take to compile and release as a final version. A couple updates have just been applied to the latest release candidate however, including a critical bug being patched that caused memory consumption issues, program hangs, as well as closings in all IMAP connections. Other problems that have been resolved in the new Thunderbird release are things such as the failing of the download more dictionaries button not opening, along with the enabling of downloaded new messages automatically for POP3 email accounts.
