The Bittorrent site Mininova has decided to remove all user submitted torrents in compliance with a ruling from a Dutch court. Since the ruling the site had experimented with various filtering tools, and had removed any torrent at the request of the rights holder, but that wasn't enough for the court system. The move was done in order to avoid €5 million in fines. The only torrents that will be allowed on the site from now on are those submitted through the content distribution service. The site is said to be considering appeal of the ruling, but no action has been taken on this front.
