When it comes to platforms, Intel's LGA1156 Core i5/i7 has been getting most of the press recently as reviews on P55 chipset boards, such as the ASUS Maximus III Formula, are hitting the web. However, that doesn't mean the Core i7 X58 chipset platform is dead, not by a long shot, as we see with the Gigabyte GA-EX58-Extreme reviewed in today's roundup.
