Aussies Won't Be Able to Play Left 4 Dead 2

Australia's Classification Board has made Left 4 Dead 2 unable to be sold in Australia in its current form. The game wasn't assigned a rating as it was deemed unfit for anyone under the age of 18 to play. Games that don't fall into the ratings categories cannot be sold in the country. Some members of the board felt the game could have been classified under the Mature/15+ rating, which would have allowed it to sell. Fallout 3 almost faced a similar ban when it was released, and Valve may create a censored version to allow Aussies to play the game.

Censorship reflects a society's lack of confidence in itself. It is a hallmark of an authoritarian regime.

stupid government being so outdated. they must think no one over the age of 17 could possibly play a video game so we dont need an r 18+ rating. some aussies will still play it. the internet is a wonderful thing. nuff said
