Forum and Gallery Update

On Sept 18th we will be upgrading our Forums and the Member Gallery. You may experience some disruptions, but they should be short lived. There are ton of new features that we are looking forward to in this upgrade, such as the following: Reputation voting, Facebook Connect, Ytube etc. I could go on and on but you will see once things are in place. We are going to have a bug forum created once the new update goes live for people to let us know of any issues. One piece of advice; back up your PM's and your Sigs just in case. We were told they should be fine but you never know.

ClayMeow on September 13, 2009 05:30PM Is FB connect going to be strictly for news and reviews, or will it be for forum threads as well? And yes, I always felt reputation features are too ripe for abuse, so never been a fan, but I guess we'll see how it goes. reply to this

Bosco on September 13, 2009 05:35PM As far as I understand it will be for the forums nothing to do with the main site area. D3 has got the news and reviews setup on FB already. I will be testing everything before it goes live on OCC so I will know more info in the coming week. reply to this

ClayMeow on September 13, 2009 05:43PM I thought FB Connect would add those buttons where one can click on it and share the article directly on their FB profile. What D3 has is strictly for the OCC FB page, probably thru RSS. reply to this

d3bruts1d on September 14, 2009 06:00AM There is nothing stopping us from adding sharing buttons to posts (and even news, reviews, etc) right now. However, that is different than FB Connect. Yes, the OCC Fan Page on FB is set up via RSS feeds. - Same goes for the OCC Twitter page. :) reply to this
