Back in November of last year, Amazon announced that it would take a new initiative to reduce packaging waste, which mainly accounts for clamshell items that consumers always have a rough time opening. Amazon is now following through with that decision by taking it another step and incorporating Kingston into its project. Fisher-Price, Mattel, Microsoft, and Transcend are also teaming up with the online site to make sure that the packing starts to turn around for the better. Not only with the new effort create more satisfied customers, but it will also limit how much plastic is wasted in product packaging, and be better for the environment overall.
