OCZ today announced six new dual-channel DDR3 memory kits specifically tailored for the upcoming Intel P55 socket LGA1156 processors. The new release encompasses six new part numbers split evenly between its Platinum and Gold series of products. In the Platinum series kits are rated at PC3-15000- 1866MHz (CL 9-9-9-27), PC3-12800 - 1600MHz (CL 7-7-7-24) and PC3-10666 - 1333MHz (CL 7-7-7-20). The Gold series includes three kits clocked the same as the Platinum with latencies of CL 10-10-10-27, CL 8-8-8-24 and CL 9-9-9-20 respectively. While OCZ is targeting the new modules at cost-conscious enthusiasts and gamers, the company also stressed the kits utilize high quality hand screened chips while still maintaining a low-voltage rating of 1.65V. The modules also make use of OCZ's XTC (Xtreme Thermal Convection) heatspreaders designed for optimal heat dissipation.
