Corsair today announced it has added six new part numbers that include a series of DDR3 dual-channel memory modules designed for Intel's soon to be released Lynnfield processors. With the new Core i5/i7 CPUs Intel is targeting the mainstream market and has moved to a more traditional dual-channel memory controller instead of the triple-channel controller found on the Nehalem Core i7 architecture. Corsair is covering the bases with four 4GB (2 x 2GB) kits and a pair of 8GB (4 x 2GB) kits. There are four new members of the XMS memory lineup in speeds ranging from 1333-1600MHz; both of the 8GB parts are XMS series kits. For those wishing to move up the performance food chain Corsair has added a 1600MHz Dominator model and a 2000MHz Dominator GT kit. Both the Dominator modules feature C8 timings with the other kits using C8 and C9. Prices range from $117 - $240 online with Corsair announcing immediate availability.

The 8gb kits are actually 4x2gb. "four matched 2GB DIMMS" from http://www.corsair.com/news/press_release.aspx?id=1084521

Corrected - thanks for the heads up. I must have had a little dyslexia going on there.
