As of today, anyone with a .mil e-mail address will have access to the Google Voice service. The invite only service provides users with a way to have all calls and text messages sent to a single number. In addition, the service provides users with a voice mail box to receive all messages. This could be the most valuable service to military personnel according to U.S. Army Sgt. Dale Sweetnam. He told of how difficult it was for him to contact his family while deployed in Iraq. The large time difference makes it difficult to get in touch with loved ones back home, but with Google Voice they will be able to leave messages at any time they want. This is truly a great thing that Google is doing for those serving this country.
