Just today, Apple released a particularly large update to its GarageBand application, which is included in the iLide ’09 suite. The program allows users to mix and record their own music with vocals, guitars, drums, keyboards, and other instruments and add effects to them as well. The update to GarageBand adds support for adding track effects along with audio unites to a guitar track, along with improved Apogee audio interface support. In the 139MB update from Apple, that is available from the Apple website or the built in softward update portion of Mac OS X, is also the improvement in speed from switching to full screen in Magic GarageBand. A security fix has also been patched in the 5.1 update, which disables the Safari web browser from altering the cookies setting to accepting all cookies while GarageBand is opened and in use.
