Fedex Continues to Go Green

Fedex has announced plans for its' fifth rooftop solar array at a distribution facility in Woodbridge, NJ. The project is being done in collaboration with BP Solar who will install the system. Fedex will then purchase the power generated from the 2.42 megawatt system. In the end, there will be 12,400 solar panels able to provide up to 30 percent of the power needs at the facility. This will be the largest rooftop installation in the country, and will reduct CO2 emissions by nearly 2,000 metric tons. Installation of the system will be completed by November.
