Lian Li today announced its latest case, the PC-8N, which is a mid-tower chassis designed for quiet and cool computing at a fairly reasonable price (at least by Lian Li standards). The 1.5mm thick all-aluminum case comes with a brushed anodized finish with the typical Lian Li quality and attention to detail. The interior features rolled edges and protectors installed in the interior to protect users' hands. The cases supports Micro-ATX or ATX motherboards and comes with four external 5.25" drive bays and room for three 3.5" HDD in the interior drive cage. Lian Lian also thought to add a single 3.5" drive bay cage on the front panel where you can install 2.5" HDD (sounds like a lovely spot for a solid state disk drive).

Cooling is achieved using two 120mm fans spinning at 1200RPm to move a lot of air without a lot of noise. Lian Li's attention to detail also extends throughout the interior of the case with anti-vibration clips and grommets on the chassis and an EMI clip on the top cover to absorb vibration. There are also vibration-dampening rubber grommets used to mount the hard drives. The case also comes with removable side, front and top panels and front mounted USB 2.0 and HD+AC97 audio ports.

Now here's the kicker - the PC-8N will retail at a MSRP of $109US + VAT when it becomes available at the end of August.
