The Wall Street Journal has covered a story that Apple would be attending the CES 2010, referring to a dinner held by Gary Shapiro and journalists. Gary is the head of the organization that organizes the CES in Las Vegas each year. They supposedly have invited Steve Jobs to give a keynote address at the start of the show, but "nobody from Apple has gotten back to them yet". However, other sources such as Engadget state that the Wall Street Journal has got it all wrong and that Mr. Shapiro never even hinted at a possible participation of Apple in the CES. With or without Apple itself, the section of the CES floor related to Mac, iPod and iPhone hardware will expand from 4,000 square-feet to 25,000 square-feet, which is not very surprising given the increasing success of its products.
