Corsair has announced a new addition to its Dominator GT line of performance memory modules. Offered as a 4GB (2 x 2GB) kit, the new DDR3 modules are designed specifically for AMD Phenom II socket AM3 processors. The 1600MHz CAS 6 Dominator GT kit features low-latencies with timings of 6-6-6-18 and a command rate of 1T. The modules take advantage of the low-latency, integrated DDR3 memory controller on the Phenom II CPUs and offer as much as a 20 percent performance gain over standard 1333MHz memory.

The 1600MHz CAS 6 Dominator GT modules support AMD’s Black Edition Memory Profiles (B.E.M.P), allowing for the aggressive latency settings to be automatically configured in Windows using the AMD OverDrive software utility. Other standard features found on the Dominator GT include the removable fins allowing for more extreme cooling options such Hydro Series H30 water-block and Ice Series T30 thermo-electric memory cooler. The modules also feature Corsair's DHX+ heatsink, which cools both the memory ICs and PCB.

Corsair is offering these modules only through its online store due to the fact that the kits used binned memory chips. Currently the site lists the 1600MHz CAS 6 Dominator GT kit for $349.99US but they're not in stock and no word from Corsair on when they will become available.
