A Google spokesperson confirmed that Apple has rejected the Google Voice application for the iPhone. The spokesperson added that Google will try to get around this block in the future using web browsers. All third party apps that use Google Voice have also been banned. The ban likely came because Google Voice allows users to send text messages for free, a feature which would surely put a dent in the overpriced text plans offered by cell providers. Last week, Google Latitude was also rejected as an iPhone app.
