Taiwan based DRAM vendor A-DATA has announced its newest DDR3 memory, the XPG Plus Series DDR3-2200+ v2.0 DRAM module. The XPG Plus Series is designed to run on current and future dual-channel platforms at a blazing 2200MHz, with CL8-8-8-24 timings at 1.65V. The XPG Plus memory modules feature Thermal Conductive Technology (TCT) to provide superior cooling for the DRAM chips and the PCB for enhanced performance and reliability. A-DATA has also utilized a 2oz copper PCB, in line with Gigabyte to lower the internal temperature and to improve electrical efficiency. The XPG Plus Series will be available in 2GB and 4GB dual channel kits tested at 2200MHz and are backwards compatible with DDR3-1866, 1600, 1333 and 1066. A-DATA has not yet announced any details on pricing or availability.
