QuakeCon 2009 Will Feature 3 Tournaments

QuakeCon 2009 is less than a month away, and will feature 3 tournaments and $50,000 in prize money. The tournaments will cater to professional and amateur gamers alike, and will feature competition in Quake Live. The main event will be the Intel Quake Live Masters Championship, a 64 player tournament featuring a best of five championship on the main stage for $14,000. The Intel Quake Live Open Tournament will feature 64 players battling it out for a $2,500 first prize. A 32 team tournament based on the capture the flag game mode will pit teams of 4 against each other for a $12,000 first prize.
