Mushkin Launches Europa III SSD Series

Mushkin has announced its newest addition to its SSD lineup, the Europa III series. The Europa III series is based on MLC NAND flash memory bundled with the Samsung S3C29RBB controller. The capacity of the first model in the Europa III series has been revealed to be 250GB, with the other models capacities to be announced in the near future. The Europa III series of SSDs feature transfer speeds of up to 220MB/s (read) and 200MB/s (write) and use a SATA II interface. The new series are based on the 2.5" specification and consume 0.15W of power when idle and 0.25W on load. The Europa III SSDs have a MTBF of one million hours and come packaged in a trendy aluminum case. No details on pricing or availability have been announced by Mushkin.

I have always loved Mushkin products but man this one has me drooling. I can't wait to see how it performs.

It'll perform exactly like every other Samsung based drive...just like all the Indilix clones are the same. The only nice thing will be a lower price tag. :P
