AMD's upcoming integrated graphics processor (IGP), currently codenamed RS880, will be 15% faster than its current RS780. The IGP is basically an AMD RV610 core with tweaked clock-speeds, and should have the brand name ATI Radeon HD 4200. The IGP gets about 1800 points in 3DMark06, which is comparable to NVIDIA's GeForce 6800 GT. While the score is nowhere near the stellar performance of todays top cards, it does put it in competition with IGP's from NVIDIA. Look for it to be debuted in August.

actually the 6800gt scored at least 2300 on 3DM 06. obviously IGPs still have a long way to go before they are able to compete with 5 year old desktop GPUs.
