New Windows President Appointed

After being a twenty year veteran, Steven Sinofsky has officially been promoted to the position of Windows president. This announcement from Microsoft comes a few months before Windows 7 is planned to be released, which is set for later in October. Steven Sinofsky, as the new Windows president, will be in charge of engineering and market functions for Windows, as well as Internet Explorer and Windows Live. It should be quite interesting to see what Sinofsky does with the whole program, especially after being in charge of countless bug fixes within Windows 7 when it was in its early stages of development. The final transition for the promotion to president is planned to be completed at sometime in the end of July.
