While the new drive from ASUS is not necessarily the fastest drive on the market, with a maximum 4.8x reading speed Blu-Rays and a 8x DVD burning speed, it surely does show off good aesthetics that most USB optical drives tend not to focus on. The company has made the external drive pretty slim, and has also included a blue lighted crosshair on the side of it. This brightness on this crosshair type design can be altered by using included software that is programmed for Windows, since the drive is not compatible with OS X at all. For now, no price is known, but it hopefully will not be much with the drive not included that good of specifications concerning its speeds.
