iPhone Users Reporting Battery Issues With New 3GS Model

If you have recently purchased one of the new 3GS iPhones, then you may find yourself returning your phone soon due to battery overheating issues. Several users have reported that their new iPhone felt very hot, with a PC World editor unable to even hold the phone to her face. Some users with white iPhones reported discoloration on the back of their phones due to the heat. There have been several instances in recent memory of recalls due to battery issues, with some extreme cases of fire and even death. Luckily the battery cells on the iPhone are small enough that the risk of fire is slim.
