After recent news of OCZ releasing an OLED gaming keyboard, the company had made a somewhat quiet announcement, revealing that it is extending the warranties on its Vertex and Summit solid state drives. Currently the company offers a two year warranty on both products, but will now be offering three years of a warranty for the storage drives. Some users are rumoring that OCZ has found a problem in the products, and is extending the warranty to calm down the overwhelming number of people that will be making claims to the company in the future. But the rumor is false, according to OCZ, as the company has stated that the warranty time has been extended for the sole purpose of appealing more to consumers stuck between purchasing a traditional hard drive and a solid state drive.
