Inno3D today announced a new member in it's stable of GeForce cards with the addition of the GTX 295 Platinum Edition. Inno3D already offered a standard version as well as an overclocked model of the GTX 295. The Platinum edition card adheres to the standard reference design as far as clock speeds and memory goes, but updates the cooling solution with the Platinum cooler (see why they call it the Platinum edition?). The design offers superior cooling performance by using a large nine-blade fan to expel hot air out both ends of the card. One end exhausts to the outside through the dual slot design normally seen in high performance cards and the other end pushes the air out into the chassis. Inno3D didn't release any additional details about the design, but it looks like the fan should be able to run at lower RPMs and still keep the heat in check.
