MSI just came out with some good news for owners of its X58 motherboards by announcing it is enabling SLI support across its entire X58 product line. That doesn't mean just new boards because all it takes to get SLI support is a BIOS upgrade and the firmware is available on MSI's web site. Prior to this, users wanting to set up SLI on their Core i7 systems using an MSI board had to use one of its Eclipse boards. Customers will now have the option of choosing either  ATI's CrossFireX or Nvidia's SLI technology for multi-GPU configurations. That's not to say the Eclipse boards aren't worthy competitors as a new world record was set recently using the MSI Eclipse SLI to push the Intel Core i7 975 to 5.7GHz.
