That's right, Kingston Technology Company Inc. has announced a new, triple channel, DDR3 1600MHz 12GB memory kit. The kit is part of their HyperX family of memory kits, and comes with a lifetime warranty and free 24/7 technical support. The kit was tested on the ASUS P6T Deluxe Motherboard with the Core i7 series processors and runs at timings of 9-9-9-27 at 1.65v. As per Mark Tekunoff, senior technology manager, "Kingston was first to release 2GHz kits and has continued to lead the memory charge with more DDR3 offerings since Intel created the triple-channel architecture. Our latest kit of three was tested with great success on the Asus P6T Deluxe motherboard and runs at a speedy 1600MHz to take full advantage of the memory controller on the Core i7 processor for unmatched performance.” The kit can be expected to retail at around $1400.

$1,400? That's insane! Why not just buy 2 1600MHz Tri-Channel kits? And is that price USD? That's got to be a mistake... You can buy 2x6GB Dominators 2000MHz for under $1,400...

Although the P6T has 6 slots, not all Triple-Channel boards do...though that's not to say I don't think the price is insane...because I do. lol

I double checked the information myself when I read it, and that's what the site says, unless Kingston themselves made a mistake. I have no idea why it's that much though. That is ridiculous.
