For the past week, if you've read the news here on OCC or perused our forums, you probably noticed Team Fortress 2 (TF2) and Valve coming up a lot. Why all the buzz? One of the most popular multiplayer games is receiving its next (free) update TOMORROW. Here's a quick synopsis, in case you missed all the events that transpired:

Day 1: First Sniper Update unlockable, The Hunstman, is unveiled.
Day 2: New game mode, Payload Race, announced, along with two new Arena maps.
Day 3: Sniper unlockable #2 unveiled, The Razorback.
Day 4: Shock heard 'round the (TF2) world, the Spy infiltrates the Sniper update; two new unlockables for the Spy unveiled, The Cloak and Dagger & the Dead Ringer.
Day 5: "Meet the Spy" video officially released, along with a sneak peek at the Spy achievements.
Day 6: Spy unlockable #3 unveiled, The Ambassador
Day 7: Today, the Sniper returns with its third unlockable, Jarate, along with a sneak peak at the Sniper achievements.

And then, there's the best day of all...Day 8...tomorrow...launch day. Some time tomorrow, May 21, 2009, all TF2 owners will have their games updated with the "Sniper vs. Spy Update" (which will happen automatically when it becomes available on Steam, unless you turned off auto-updates, in which case you'll have to manually update). For those of you that haven't discovered the awesomeness that is Team Fortress 2, you won't have to miss out on all the fun. As is typical with TF2 updates, Valve is offering a Team Fortress 2 Free Weekend...except you won't have to wait until the weekend; the free weekend starts once the Sniper vs. Spy Update is released. If you don't own TF2 and have any interest in playing this weekend, I strongly suggest you pre-load the game immediately so you won't have to contend with all the server load tomorrow.
