Use of Android Based Phones Expected to Increase Greatly

A recent report released by Strategy Analytics, a communications research company, states that Android based phones could see their usage increase by 900 percent in the next few years. The iPhone, by comparison, will only increase by about 79 percent. Android based phones have several appealing points to phone manufacturers including the low-cost licensing. In addition, as smartphone sales increase, more manufacturers find themselves creating application stores based on the Apple model. However, other manufacturers allow developers to get a bigger cut from their work. These two developments could prove to be a big problem for Apple in the near future.
