Intel is likely to be hit with a large fine from the European Union on Wednesday. The fine would be the culmination of a 10 year investigation into Intel for alleged anti-competitive behavior. Intel has long been accused of using its influence to try to shut AMD out of the processor market. The fine will supposedly top the $1.36 billion fine that was handed down against Microsoft for antitrust violations. Intel has already been hit with fines and regulations by Japan and South Korea, and is currently embroiled in a lawsuit in America.
