Slew of New Hero Games

Activision officially announced and/or confirmed information about a slew of new games. Guitar Hero 5 is expected to follow the formula of Guitar Hero: World Tour. Band Hero was also confirmed to be in production. It will be a more family-friendly version of the series, with an E10+ rating from the ESRB. DJ Hero was also discussed, and will feature songs from hip-hop, R&B, Motown, electronic, and "dance" genres. With the announcement came several photos of the Turntable Controller, which features the iconic green, red, and blue buttons on the turntable itself. DJ Hero will be released for Xbox 360, Wii, PlayStation 3 and/or PlayStation 2. Guitar Hero: Van Halen was also confirmed to be in production, but the release platforms are still unknown. Activision also confirmed the 48-song list for Guitar Hero: Smash Hits (or Greatest Hits for you Brits), which will combine songs from Guitar Hero, Guitar Hero II, Guitar Hero Encore: Rocks the 80s, Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock and Guitar Hero: Aerosmith.
