Treyarch ended up developing every other Call of Duty game in a deal with Infinity Ward, which also includes the recently released Call of Duty: World at War. To consumers this version was fun to play, but was just not enough, since it was based on the same engine that the previous game in the series used. Since then, news has been springing up all across the Internet about the next Call of Duty to be published, and many websites have been reporting that it will be Modern Warfare 2. Recent news is suggesting otherwise however, and is supporting details of the next game being based in Vietnam. The Modern Warfare 2 game that gamers have been looking forward to will be a stand alone game, and will not be a Call of Duty title. Instead, Activision will be publishing the new game as a Vietnam based war title.
