Google is employing goats

That's right, in Mountain View, California, Google is 'employing' goats as an alternative to lawn mowers. While some might say that this really isn't 'going green', I think it's a great idea. I see no downside to this, as it costs the same as lawn mowers and is more carbon-friendly. And, I would rather wake up to the barks of Jen, the herding border collie, than to the loud sound of a lawn mower.

From ocean servers to goat mowers... it's all up to Google.

My brother in law works at the transfer station (dump) and a few years back they used to have goats because it was cheaper than hiring property maintenance...

but won't this even make this worst when the goats take a dump on the field and so fourth?

They're just fertilizing the fields! Although methane IS a greenhouse gas.. :P

Though there may be some practicality to it, this seems more gimmickey to me.

Very interesting for sure, especially since it saves on the environment.
