AMD has long been a player in the PC industry. From its humble beginnings in 1969, AMD has grown to become a highly recognized multi-national company. AMD has had its highs and lows over the years and is notably the main competitor to rival Intel, and more recently  NVIDIA with its acquisition of ATI. Today is AMD's 40th Anniversary, and AMD are holding a video and photo contest to celebrate for its loyal customers. Fans can create a 60 second video any way they choose but it has to include “Happy 40th Anniversary AMD”, or take a photo symbolizing love for AMD. Up for grabs are three 4890 video cards, forty 4650 video cards, five Phenom II X4 Black Edition CPUs and ASUS motherboards and eight Athlon 7850 CPUs and Gigabyte motherboards. AMD have been here for quite a while, and I think its safe to say they will be bringing us hardware goodness for many years to come.
