The Witcher: Rise of the White Wolf Officially on Hold

As reported yesterday, rumors of The Witcher: Rise of the White Wolf's cancellation flooded the Internet. Cd Projekt refused to confirm the rumors yesterday, but today, developer Widescreen Games announced that development of the console port has indeed stopped. The two companies are in disagreement as to who's to blame, but neither Widescreen Gaming nor CD Projekt says it's cancelled outright. Instead, the game is on hold until the partners can resolve its financial disputes, or until CD Projekt finds some other option. Regardless of what happens, as stated yesterday, The Witcher 2 is still a go...and here's hoping that doesn't change.
