ATI Radeon HD 4890X2 is real

It seems that rumors were true, and ATI's partners are being selected and validated to manufacture the 4890X2 which means that the 4890X2 will be exclusive for only a few of ATI's partners, the most obvious being Sapphire as it is largest supplier of ATI-based video cards in the world. The 4890X2 will come in two flavours, 2GB and 4GB, which should be enough for any gamer. Currently the reigning champion is the GTX 295, but as reviews have shown, two 4890's in CrossFire beat the GTX 295 in every test, so the 4890X2 should be no exception! The specifications have yet to be released, but the memory is suspected to be clocked at 1000MHz, let us all hope that this is true and that the rest of the specifications are not too different from two 4890's. Stay tuned for more information later on in the month.

the card looks very very fast. but cost of ownership off the roof. power consumption and purchase cost and the heat produced. wish i was filthy rich!! efficiency is key these days

"For the first time in many many years, ATi will have the best card" Ati already had the best card for a few years with the 4870x2 nvidia had to make the gtx295 to compete and now nvidia is just getting smacked around more.

it will truly win my following if it can deliver greater performance than the 295, while being cheaper to buy (fat chance). I'm not even going to bother looking for it to be efficient because I know it wont be

"Currently the reigning champion is the GTX 295, but as reviews have shown, two 4890's in CrossFire beat the GTX 295 in every test," Uhh...what? That's not true at all!
