Intel has pushed its P55 chipset and Core i5 processor launch back to sometime between August and October according to Fudzilla. Although AIB (Add In Board) partners have been given permission to display P55 motherboards at Computex in Taipei early next month, Intel isn't ready for the launch. Sources say that Intel is apparently rearranging features of the P55 chipset, and adding some features from the P57 chipset. It seems likely that Intel is just waiting in the wings with the P55 and Core i5 as there's no real rush to release them in the current global economic situation. And honestly, the Core i5 isn't something which people will be waiting for and it doesn't bring any real innovation to the industry other than lower prices than the Core i7.
