Windows XP has left Mainstream Support and is set to enter the new chapter of Extended Support, according to HotHardware. Extended Support means that no free support will be available to Microsoft XP customers. Now, if you want help, you'll have to pay for it. Critical security updates and hotfixes will still be provided free of charge until April 8, 2014 through Windows Update. Office 2003 has also entered the realm of Extended Support. Let's face it, the majority of users are still on XP (like me) and will now have to shell out some cash for help.
