OCZ Technology announced four new memory kits for the AMD AM3 platform. The new kits are part of OCZ's Platinum and Gold performance memory product lineup and are intended to take advantage of AMD's move to DDR3 and offer a more future roof system with restricted voltage requirements. The new modules are rated for 1.65V and come in 1600MHz (Platinum) and 1333MHz (Gold) speeds. These modules have been optimized to take full advantage of the AMD DDR3 platform. The Platinum modules are being offered in latencies of 7-7-7-24 for the PC3-12800 and 7-7-7-20 for the PC3-10666. The Gold modules are being offered in PC3-12800 at 8-8-8-24 and 9-9-9-20 for the PC3-10666 version. All four are 4GB (2 x 2GB) kits. There was no word on pricing or when they would be available.
