Sniper Receiving Next Team Fortress 2 Update

In what was initially thought to be an April Fool's joke, the next class update for Team Fortress 2 has been announced. The Sniper class will be receiving the update, which means that for about 2 weeks after the servers will be flooded with Snipers. The update will also feature new maps and gameplay tweaks. A new update to be released before the Sniper update is also in the works and will feature updates for each class. The team at Valve is also hard at work to bring updates to the Xbox 360, but are having difficulties with memory issues. I can't wait for this update, but would have liked to see it be Demoman.

ClayMeow on April 13, 2009 05:04PM I enjoy the Sniper (well actually, I enjoy most classes), but usually don't play it because there is usually enough already. Now I guess it'll make them even more plentiful. But at least the majority of players will probably suck at it. lol. I'm curious to see what the new weapons/items are! Maybe a sniper rifle with slightly less damage, but without the laser dot? reply to this

CheeseMan42 on April 13, 2009 08:15PM I started out playing just Sniper. I had about 4 hours total. I haven't played it since except for 1 or 2 rounds and have logged 20-30 hours since then. Medic is probably my best class and there just aren't enough people that play medic. reply to this

ClayMeow on April 14, 2009 07:04AM Like I said, I enjoy most classes. I don't play the medic as much as some other classes simply because I often don't put on my headset and often have the sound on very low (as I often watch TV while playing). To play the medic well, I feel you have to be able to communicate with your team, not to mention hear what's going on. For example, if I'm charged up, I want to make sure the person I plan on Uber'ing knows my intention. Otherwise, there's a 50/50 chance it doesn't go according to plan. heh reply to this
