Patriot Viper 12GB DDR3 Triple-Channel Memory Announced

When 6GB of memory just isn't enough for your Core i7 build you can always opt to double that. Patriot Memory has just announced its Viper 12GB memory kit that aims to fill all six DIMM slots on your x58 motherboard. As is typical of Patriot's Viper series of performance memory, these modules will feature Patriot's Aluminum Copper Composite (ACC) technology heat spreaders. Patriot said it will be offering two versions in CL7 (low-latency) and CL9 (enhanced-latency). Both are rated to run at 1333MHz clock speeds and Patriot is emphasizing these modules have been hand tested extensively on X58 motherboards to ensure maximum compatibility. While 12GB may seem like a lot of memory, this is one way to bring server-level performance to your desktop, especially for all those video-rendering tasks you've been wanting to do. No word on pricing or availability yet.
