OCZ Technology to Offer Intel Extreme SODIMM Modules

OCZ Technology has announced a new set of SODIMM memory modules specifically designed for Intel Core 2 Extreme mobile CPUs. The memory is targeted specifically at high-end gaming and professional laptops and goes beyond just being a memory upgrade and is intended as a good way to boost system performance. Each module features Intel Extreme Memory Profiles (XMP) which provide the modules the capability to boot at the rated specs based on the enhanced serial presence detect settings. The DDR3 PC3-8500 modules are offered in single 2GB modules or as a 4GB kit (2x2GB) kit. The memory is rated to run at 1066MHz at CL6-6-6 latencies. OCZ did not disclose pricing or availability.
