After recent reports of Amazon selling Xbox LIVE titles online just as Microsoft does, they are also announcing music pricing news. Through the years, music has mostly stayed the same in terms of cost, including prices for both albums and individual songs. Amazon and Wal-Mart are now raising some of their prices for their individual songs that they offer through their websites. The retail superstore will raise their prices up to $1.24, though some songs will be available for $0.64. Amazon on the other hand has raised theirs just five cents higher than the Wal-Mart cost, bringing their songs to a total of $1.29. Just as some songs can be purchased for much cheaper, Amazon will also be offering some music for a price of $0.79 and $0.89. This news comes after the music industry has been asking for more and more money from its purchases, probably due to the fact of the mass amount of downloading of music worldwide.
