G.Skill, manufacturer of high performance memory have announced their new Trident series DDR3 RAM. It will be the first RAM to be certified by Intel for the Core i7 CPU. The new RAM will come in 6GB Tri-Channel kit, with a new heat sink design. The speeds of the new RAM are rated at 2000 MHz and with latencies of 9-9-9-24 at 1.65v. This new kit should be quite cheap if it wants to compete with other leading manufacturers which have kits working at 2000 MHz with lower latencies. Although do expect it to be in the $200 range, as the higher performing kits cost $300+. Pricing and date have yet to be announced.
