That's right, Google Street View will soon be available in Canada. Two years after its launch in the US, Canadian pictures from the camera-mounted Google Car are soon to be released. However, these pictures are not brand new; Google started mapping the Canadian city of Toronto soon after its US launch. The two-year delay is attributed to the privacy concerns raised by Canada's federal privacy commissioner. Google has proposed the solution of blurring faces and license plates along with accepting any requests to remove specific images. While some are still concerned, Google will go ahead and send its drivers out to 11 cities across the country for further mapping. Expect these new tours to be completed in a few months.
