Malcolm Palmer, a 62 year old man, killed his wife on Monday for playing too much PlayStation. The couple had been married for 30 years and lived in Long Sutton, Lincolnshire. The console belonged to their 10 year old son who would play until midnight, when his wife, Carol Cannom who was 46 would pick it up and play until the morning. Mr. Palmer was forced to sleep on the sofa so that his wife could play the game in the bedroom with their 37" plasma TV. In court he stated that, "he was very unhappy about the amount of time she was playing on the PlayStation."On Monday evening he attacked her with two kitchen knives inflicting over 20 stab wounds to her upper torso. Their son overheard the attack and called the police, the husband apparently then calmly took the phone and stated, "I'm sorry. I think I've killed her." Mr. Palmer will be sentenced on Wednesday.
