Today, Apple released the iPhone 3.0 beta 2 to its developers. Apple also gave developers permission to begin work on applications that will use Apple's Push Notification service. Live testing of the new features, such as Push Notification, will be opened slowly to a few developers at a time as the beta progresses. The iPhone 3.0 beta 2 also includes stability and perfomance enhancements. Engadget reported that its testers were restarting their iPhone almost daily while testing the iPhone 3.0 beta 1. The new beta fixed multiple bugs that had been reported in the initial beta release. A full list of the new features in the iPhone 3.0 betas can be found here.
