Corsair today launched its Voyager Port portable backup solution, which can make use of any USB flash drive (though naturally Corsair would prefer you use its own). The compact device simply connects to any USB port and combines with NovaBackup 10 software to enable you to quickly backup important data to a connected flash drive. With drives now available in capacities as large as 64GB, they become a viable alternative to storing important data on a backup hard drive. This is backed up by research Corsair conducted, which indicated that 80% of people had a 'My Documents' folder less than 64GB. As the device is powered through the USB bus it means it can be easily transported for use with a laptop or between multiple machines. Pricing for the device is currently unknown, but the Voyager Port should be popping up at retailers as of now and is covered by 10 year warranty.
