If you are putting together a brand new Core i7 system, you have a much wider choice of potential motherboards than when the CPUs launched late last year. Any additional options are always welcomed, and with the launch of the X58B-A2, ECS is apparently targeting overclocking beginners. The board features the company's M.I.B. (Motherboard Intelligent BIOS), which integrates all the overclocking functions into one page to make adjusting clock and voltage settings straight forward. You get the kind of features you would expect with an X58 board, such as support for up to 24GB of DDR3 1600MHz memory and CrossFire X. You also get two eSATA ports and all solid capacitors. While pricing hasn't been mentioned, I would expect it to be one of the lower cost X58 boards out there for the features it provides.
